Motion Picture Theatre To Be Erected by Chacos

The Coshocton Morning Tribune: Wednesday, June 16, 1915 - Newcomerstown, Ohio, will soon have a new theatre if the present plans of Chris Chacos, manager of the Pastime, Elite and Utahna theatres, mature. Chacos is now negotiating a deal whereby he will become the owner of a Newcomerstown site on which he will build an up-to-date opera house at a cost of approximately $8,000. According to reliable information, the deal will be closed within the next few days.

It is said the theatre will be modern in every respect with a seating capacity of about eight hundred. Chacos will engage several headliners in the vaudeville world and in addition will offer as an added attraction motion pictures of the highest quality.

It is expected that a more definite announcement will be made in the near future and immediately upon the closing of the deal where by Chacos secures the site now under reconsideration, the actual work of construction will begin.

Chacos has several years of successful experience in the motion picture and vaudeville field.
