The Coshocton Tribune, November 20, 1935

Mrs. Margaret Ann Berry, 80, died at 9:30 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Layton, 622 South Fifth Street.  Mrs. Berry had been bedfast since July from infirmities.

She was the widow of Caleb Berry, who died 22 years ago.  She was the daughter of William and Rachel Clough and was born in Kentucky in 1855.  When her father joined the Union army at the outbreak of the Civil War, the family was forced to flee to Ohio.

For a time the family lived in Zanesville, later settling in the vicinity of Tynsdal, where Mrs. Berry spent most of her life.  She was a member of Warner M.E. Church.

The following children survive:  Mrs. A.A. Wright of Pittsburgh, PA,  Mrs. Ada Chamberlin of Beeler, KS, Mrs. John Latham and Mrs. Guy Latham of Canton, OH, Mrs. Ralph Wise [Sr.] of Newcomerstown, OH, James, Joseph and Harvey Berry of Coshocton, OH, and Mrs. George Layton of Coshocton, OH.

Three sisters survive:  Mrs. Kate Stubbs of Route 5, Mrs. Rachel Thorpe of Uhrichsville, OH, and Mrs. Charles Woods of Coshocton, OH.  Another sister, Mrs. Molly Shearn died four years ago.  Two brothers also survive, Harvey Clough of Malvern, OH, and William Clough of Coshocton, OH.  Two other brothers, Thomas and Steven Clough, preceded her in death.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed today.
