Dies at Age of 55
Newcomerstown News, February 07, 1957

Francis E. Wise, 55, died Sunday at 11:50 p.m. at his home, 441 Center Street, [Newcomerstown, OH] following a year's illness.

He was born at Newcomerstown, November 21, 1901, a son of Jesse Leroy and Augusta Mae Schide Wise.  He was married October 6, 1928 to Kathryn Hunt, who survives.  Also surviving are three brothers, Ralph Jr., Elmer and Lorin Wise, all of Newcomerstown and one sister, Mrs. Laura Fouch, address unknown.  Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

He was a member of the Modern Woodmen's Club and the Moose Lodge and had been an employee of the James B. Clow & Sons plant for 31 years.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Bonnell Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Ernest Howell and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery.
